An innovator and visionary who has been active in the wine industry since the early 1970s, Bill Leigon is the founder of Jamieson Ranch Vineyards and is responsible for the creation of our highly recognized “Double Lariat” Napa Valley Cabernet, as well as the driving force behind Reata, Light Horse and Whiplash brands.
Prior to Jamieson Ranch Vineyards, Bill was President of Hahn Family Wines for 12 years. At Hahn he created the groundbreaking HRM Rex Goliath wines, which were successfully sold by the company to Constellation Brands. Bill followed the success of HRM Rex Goliath with the Cycles Gladiator brand, which was selected by Wine Business Monthly as a “Hot Brand” in 2006 and 2008. His groundbreaking “Banned in Alabama” social media campaign led to international acclaim and recognition for Cycles Gladiator and also served as a blueprint for many wine industry social media campaigns to follow.
Bill co-founded The Wine Trust and Ariel Vineyards (the first premium non-alcoholic wine), served as National Sales and Marketing Manager guiding J. Lohr wines for 13 years, and worked as Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Associated Vintage Group.
A community activist, vocalist and artist, Bill was a founding director of the Napa Valley Repertory Theatre and has served as president of the Arts Council of Napa Valley and currently serves on the board at Music In The Vineyards.
